When I logged onto the server I warped to the creative world and the second I got there I saw a giant 1x1 tower with lava poured ontop of it when I checked the blocks it said it was placed by eli. Then I saw a structure made totally of obsidian and lava was poured all over it and was flooding the inside I checked and it said the obsidian was placed by eli. I dont know how to check who placed lava with a bone or a stick (if at all possible) so I am really confused as to what this is thanks for reading this and heres some screens of it.

When you right-click with a bone, you right-click the absence of a block to see who most recently modified it, i.e. griefed blocks you know are missing or non-solid water and lava source blocks.

For example, if someone destroyed your iron door (couldn't have been done by a Zombie), you would use the bone tool and right-click one of the two neighboring frame blocks; most of the time the ground will give you what you're looking for.

 

When you left-click with a stick, you're left-clicking a solid block to see who most recently modified it. Could be spammed wool, glowstone, .. anything.

 

The output of these commands will tell you what block was placed or destroyed in brackets. Your first screenshot indicates that Eli placed red wool; [35] means 35->wool and 14->red. [8] and/or [9] are water source, [10] and/or [11] are lava source. So you should be looking out for 10 and 11 with the bone tool if you're searching for who placed lava.

I did build the tower and the building. I had messed up on the building and hadn't gotten around to fixing it yet, I made the tower of lava cause I thought it would look cool. Why would either of these be a violation any way?
